SMALL ENGINE TECHNOLOGY - 3 Credits 

In our Small Engine Repair and Technology course, students embark on a comprehensive journey into diagnosing and repairing engines ranging from 3 to 300 horsepower. This hands-on program delves deep into the inner workings of small engines, equipping students with the expertise needed to bring these mechanical marvels back to life. Throughout the course, students explore vintage and cutting-edge technologies, spanning gasoline, compact diesel, and electric engine systems. The curriculum encompasses a diverse array of equipment, including motorcycles, snowmobiles, tractors, boats, and more, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to service and repair a wide range of machinery.

Furthermore, our program extends beyond engine repair, offering students a comprehensive skill set. Participants will gain proficiency in welding and fabrication, vital skills for any technician. Additionally, students will acquire a foundational understanding of transmissions, hydraulics, and drives, providing them with a holistic perspective on the machinery they encounter. Whether you're an aspiring mechanic or simply eager to master the art of small engine repair, this course will empower you with the knowledge and practical skills needed for success in this dynamic field. Industry Certifications: OSHA 10 hour, Outdoor Power Equipment Technician Certification (2 strokes, 4 stroke, Electrical), Certified Safety Inspector Category 1 and 2, Honda Engines, Briggs & Stratton Master Service Technician, Stihl Bronze, SP2 Safety & Pollution Prevention, SP2 Automotive, Husqvarna Equipment, Echo Equipment, and Aftermarket training through Powersports University.
