Welding Technology

WELDING-Intermediate-Tech 1 (48 hrs) $725.
WLD104 Tu/Th 3/17 - 5/7/2020, 6-9 PM

This intermediate course is intended for those students that have some welding experience but want additional practice time to perfect their welds and develop their skills.  Course consists of both theory and hands on practice on multiple processes, including Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas-Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), and Oxyacetylene cutting.  Welding Safety, equipment set up, and material preparation are included.  This course prepares students  for entry level welding employment.  Students are expected to come to all classes with clothing and gear necessary to perform work.  Required gear includes:  cotton based dark color clothing (long pants), leather work boots, welding coat or sleeves, gauntlet style welding gloves, and welding helmet.
