• Lunch
Students that eat at the Upper Bucks County Technical School (UBCTS).  AM students eat before going back to their sending school (Palisades and Pennridge) and PM students eat as soon as they arrive at the technical school.  Students need their ID numbers to access the cafeteria system.  Letters were sent home with the ID numbers.  Students should bring the letters to school on the first day.  Returning students will have the same ID number.  UBCTS offers a Point Of Sale (POS) system for all students, which allows you to deposit money into your child's account either by mailing us a check or giving cash directly to the Cafeteria Manager.  If mailing a check, address it to UBCTS - attention Cafeteria Manager.  Do not send checks or cash for your child's lunch to the sending school.  They are not a compatable with our cafeteria system and therefore, money can not be transferred.  Students are not permitted to "charge" lunch.  Money must be available in the account.
Students who are eligibile for free or reduced lunch at their sending school will receive the same at the technical school.  Applications are handled and processed by the sending schools.  We are notified by the sending schools when applications are approved.
Students may purchase a lunch for $3.25 - which includes one entree, and a choice of milk, fruit and/or a vegetable.  A'la carte items can be purchased for  an additional cost.  See the monthly menu on our website for additional information.
No food or drink is permitted to leave the cafeteria, all food must be purchased early enough to finished in time to get on the bus or back to class.
Rules of the cafeteria are in the UBCTS Student Handbook.  The handbook is handed out the first day and is to be taken home for parent review.
    Items Needed for Programs:
Some programs require uniform or tool purchases.  Teachers will cover this during the first week of school and it is included in the Student Handbook.
Students follow the schedules of the sending districts.  If a sending high school is closed, the technical students from that high school are not expected to attend UBCTS.  It is not considered an absence.
Excuse notes are needed for both the sending district and UBCTS.  The sending districts are not able to send us their copies.
