Our communities require trained personnel to respond to

emergencies, save lives, prevent harm and protect property.

This innovative and timely course provides instruction and

training in comprehensive public safety. Students interested in

a career in law enforcement, emergency medical, fire or

emergency management services should enroll in this

three-year program. Related areas of employment include

private security, industrial safety and government agencies.


All areas of public safety work together and often combine

their resources. In times of crisis or emergency, job

responsibilities for various personnel frequently overlap and

cross over traditional career boundaries. It is imperative that

students become proficient in all career areas during their time

in this course. A successful student and respected employee

will possess a high degree of motivation, self-discipline and

gain skills in all areas of the protective services. Each student

will be required to wear a security uniform, black shoes and

have a wristwatch with a second hand. Physical conditioning

will be an asset in this career area. He/she should have an

interest in public safety, possess an open mind and be

non-judgmental. Students will be challenged on a daily basis to

problem solve and work with enthusiasm in a detail oriented
